Is there a way I can get into Access links to tables in a SQL Server Express
database (.mdf file)? I have tried Get External Data>Link tables but .mdf is
not one of the available file type options. I tried experimenting with

I have a database front-end that has recently jumped from a lowely 3mb
to over 50mb.  Is there anything normal that can cause this to
happen?  The file in question contains only forms, reports, and

the CPU goes and stays at 50% (dual processor CPU) even when sitting and

i need to set up a database that will track all employee's credit hours on a
per pay period basis...I also need running totals by department...the catch
is... if an employee moves to a new department, the old hours need to stay

After I placed a database on a network, everyone was prompted to enter their
log in, which is not what I wanted . I deleted it and it's security
information and now I want to know how to restore the securities so I can use
it again.

In my table I have a field for FirstName and one for LastName.  On a Query, I
need to show LastName, FirstName.  I tried adding the below to the Query
Field, but it does not come up correctly

I am creating an Access database for a client. At the moment it is located on
one computer which is on a network. What is necessary in terms of licensing
if it would be deemed helpful for other people on the network to be able to
open the single database  from their location?
