I'm teaching in a lab with two versions of Office and Clean Slate on all of
the computers.  Access is not behaving well in either version -- can't use
the Form Wizard or do command buttons in the 2003 version, and opening but
locking up as soon as anything is clicked in the 2007 ...

I have an access db that as several tables. I want to create one table
(or file).
The tables have keys. Some tables might not contain information for
the keys.

I have a query that ran in the previous version of access but fails in 2007.  
The error is with a function - "cusip_wo_dash: [Left$]([cusip_id],6)".
The error message is "Undefined function 'Left$' in expression".  I tried
removing the $, but get the same error.

I have a database which is in 2003 format & is password protected. when I
tried to convert it to 2007 format, it tells me that I should open it
exclusive to remove the password, which I did. When I try to save it in 2007
format it tell me  that it can't save it as it is open ...
