subtotal26 Apr 2008 02:22 GMT1
Ive been told to use Access 2007 (instead of Excel 2007) to compute
the total price amount, the total tax amount and the total fee amount
for each part-number in my 737,768-record file.
Since I've never used Access, how do I do this?
Links to Pictures26 Apr 2008 01:31 GMT4
Trying to create links to pictures...
Here's the issue: I am adding links to pictures in a db that is used by
multiple people.  They are at a location different than where I'm located.
When I create a link to a picture using "edit link", it creates a virtual
How to get out of READ-ONLY mode when using Access 200726 Apr 2008 01:06 GMT2
Here is the scoop - I created two Access DB's (One containing the data and
one containing the Forms etc) I loaded them out to a server that everyone in
the office can access. Then I made sure that the tables were linked up
correctly.
Whether or not to replicate?26 Apr 2008 00:12 GMT9
I have a split FE/BE A97 mdb. The BE (278mb) is on a server, with 7 FEs
(115mb) on 7 PCs: the PCs are running W2K professional, with 512mbRAM on
each. This is all starting to creak a bit: we are increasingly frequently
getting database corruptions and "can't open any more tables  ...
On Exit Code26 Apr 2008 00:01 GMT3
I have the event in "On Exit".  However I want to add if Me.ColorStatus is
null, then [Forms]![Top 10].NGTColor is null.  In other words, if user clears
Me.ColorStatus, then [Forms]![Top 10].NGTColor should also be clear.
Thanks in advance.
Opening forms (using VBA)25 Apr 2008 23:39 GMT3
Apologies in advance if this should have been posted to a VBA group
instead.
I've got a relatively simple database, with all options available from
the Welcome form.  There is just 1 other form.  All of the controls on
Compact and Repair Macro25 Apr 2008 23:04 GMT2
Does anyone know if or how to create a macro to compact and repair?  If not,
how can compact and repair be done automatically at a scheduled time?
Thanks.
Naming conventions25 Apr 2008 22:57 GMT3
Is it wrong  to name object such as tables, forms, queries like
300-01.....
900-02.....
Are numbers allowed?
Column Headers in Access Tables25 Apr 2008 22:55 GMT2
I imported a large group of files into separate tables but the files did not
have any column headers.  Is there any way to update the column headers from
each of these tables (through a update query, etc) without having to manually
go into each table and rename each column ...
How stop a query in Access 200725 Apr 2008 22:14 GMT2
In previous versions of Access, pressing Ctrl-Break would stop a query in
progress.  This no longer works in Access 2007.  Is there a new command to
stop a query started in error that could run for a very long time without
forcing Access to end?
Advanced graphs in Access 200725 Apr 2008 21:25 GMT5
It seems that graphing still sucks in Access 2007.  I'm trying to
create an advanced series of graphs in a report, and after inserting
the graph object, the editing process is terrible.  I can't do any of
the stuff that's available in Excel 2007.  It seems like graphing is
Error when starting Access Applications ( 2007)25 Apr 2008 20:46 GMT1
I just installed Office 2007 and I get this error whenever I start MS Access
2007.

OLE server or ActiveX Control"
Memo Field Scrollbar25 Apr 2008 20:18 GMT2
I did search, but found no answer.
In a memo field, form or report, how can I get a vertical scrollbar when the
text entry go further down?
How to trigger Current event in subform25 Apr 2008 19:59 GMT5
Access 2003
I have a main form (frmSuppliers).
On this form I have a tab control (tabSupplier).
On the first page of the tab control I have a subform (frmProducts).
Missing table joins25 Apr 2008 19:39 GMT2
I was recently handed a working, functional semi-complex MDB.
I open "Show Relationships" and saw nothing.  Click on display "All
Relationships"  Still nothing.
This MDB was orginally written in 2003 and had to be de-converted into 2000.
