Is there anyway to store both a date and the string "N/A" in a table?? I want to use a date field because of the added benifits of this but there are some cases that the value is "N/A"... so I don't know how to handle this... Thanks,

Can I copy or import some tables (3 or 4) and one query from one database into another so I can use them to create a form in the other db? Both are 2003 with sp3. Or, would it be better to link, or use some other method. Or could I just call the path to the other db? Thanks so ...

I have been reading all about the evils of lookups in tables, however could someone please explain how you avoid using them - is the answer to have many tiny tables with potentially only 2 fields (assuming it is necessary to have a PK in every table) and often only 2 records.
