selections for end users to pick from. The problem is that the field can not
be edited and should a product description change then end user can not key

 Is there anyway to store both a date and the string "N/A" in a table??  I
want to use a date field because of the added benifits of this but there are
some cases that the value is "N/A"...  so I don't know how to handle this...

They have categories (top menu), this is ok, normal. But, the left side menu

I am using Access 2007 and have completed my database. Can anyone tell me
how I get rid of the ribbon and side navigation bar that has the tables,
forms etc listed. I don't want any ribbon or toolbars visible in my end

I have read all the threads regarding MDE, and nothing matched my case.

I want to have the date be mm/yyyy.  When i change the input mask for short

I have been reading all about the evils of lookups in tables, however could
someone please explain how you avoid using them - is the answer to have many
tiny tables with potentially only 2 fields (assuming it is necessary to have
a PK in every table) and often only 2 records.
