I need to store the web visitor's IP in a field. I thought of creating a numeric field but I've been told that because the IP has numbers and dots should be stored as text. However, if I choose text I cannot group by it. What's your opinion?

i have a database where i am trying to store information about 5 different types of machines by using a table that holds the common information, with relationships to tables with the uncommon information in a one to one relationship.

after i changed the name of one of our computer, we got a shared Access database, when i tried to open the database in another computer, it says invalid pasth......, so what is the problem?

I did what was suggested below- and it worked and grabbed the RATE field in the query from the rates table. However I needed to add the delivery yard Name and the pickupd yard name to both tables because there could be the same deliv yd number with a different name.

I have found some advice in regard to DateAdd which seems to be a good way of generating a date in the future. What I have been unable to find is whether this can be used in a table or only in a form as the help on the subject is limited in this respect.

I tried to add a new column for my table in dsign view. I get this message when i open it for design. The database was actually converted from Access 97 to 2003. Please help. it urgent.
