From a switchboard, users click a button (based on a macro, which is based on a parameter query) to search for a keyword or item number in my database. The results are displayed in a form. When their search yields no matches, the result is just the blank form background.

I am rather new to building expressions in Access. I have a pretty simple task, really. I want to concatenate values in 'Reach' and 'Station' fields into one field called 'Reach_Station' For instance, if reach = 10 and station = 300, then reach_station = 10-300.

I'm kinda new to db building and I was wondering why a primary key should be an ID (AutoNumber). I have a table with users where the field Username should also be unique. Why shouldn't I set the Username field as primary key?
