primary keys having text data type06 Apr 2005 06:23 GMT2
I've got some primary keys whose values look like numbers, such as 100434,
100435 etc., but they have a text data type instead of a number data type.
If I had built these tables myself, I would have defined them as Long
Integer data types, but I inherited the database from ...

not there's a list of valid reasons why not (e.g. power ...
Access and Linked tables to Oracle06 Apr 2005 04:37 GMT7
In the past I created an Access database front end for our end users
for the purposes of querying our Oracle data.  I noticed that in this
older Access database that one of our large Oracle tables was linked
without an index (primary key in this case).

Filter by Form05 Apr 2005 15:09 GMT1
RICK, I went to the Tools/Options area and changed the number in that box
from 1000 (default value) to 10000 since I don't think we'll reach that value
soon.  That did not help.  The values that show in a field in the Filter by
Form still only show IS NULL, IS NOT NULL.
