I have inherited a flat data base that has something like
50 fields, a heap of queries, forms and reports.  I need
to Normalise the table and fields.  Is it better to start
from fresh and then recreate all the forms, queries,

I am after an opinion as to whether or not it is advisable or necessary to
index a field that is used in a relationship with a field on another table.
I do know that creating a relationship also creates an index, so is there

Mr.Vinson, Your advice along with that of others sent me on a refresher
course in the Normalization of a database.  (regarding my post-plea for help-
"Is Data Just Data?", in this discussion group)  I had totally warped the
concept of the Second Normal Form.

I have a Many-To-Many relationship between [Main] & [RefMain], using a
