I need to calculate time differences (in hours and minutes) across a couple of days. The database is set up with a separate fields for date and time. Can I combine these two fields to make a "general date" field, so difference calculations will be easier?

I overextended myself. I am creating a database for a small office that rents a pretty narrow range of items by the day. I saw the wizzards, resource mgt, customer service, etc, and it seemed like they all covered my needs: work order, reserve, rent, bill, and inventory.
