I get the error MS Accesss was unable to create an MDE database with a front end access application. All the tables are linked to the back end the app runs in access. What should I check for?

Quite simply, I want to 'design' a database that will keep track of the cost of individual items so that I will know what to charge when I sell items made up from those purchased items. There does not appear to be such a database template within MS Office XP.

Is there a way for ACCESS to allow multiple users to enter data on the network database simultaneously? In my experience, none of the Microsoft Office applications allow multiple "write" access.
