I'm not an Access developer, but need to find an answer to this question to
prove a point for upgrades - Can Office(Access) 2003(or later) open an Access
1.1 or 2.0 db/application and still have it work?

OK, so this has been very frustrating, spent many hours so far and no
conclusive findings...
This a corporate environment with multiple Office2003 Pro installed with
default installs from a  network install point. ( they all should be

I have a new machine with Vista and loaded Office 2002 followed by Office
2007 in separate folders but I can no longer run my 2002 access files. When i
open them in 2002 i get a series of messages

I am running Access 2000.  Every once in a while I lose the help files.  WHen
I try to reinstall this file from the Office CD it never works properly.  
WHen I try to use the help it want to read it off the CD.  I want to read it
off the disk.

I copied a database and send it to someone.  I thought the active controls
would transfer with the database.  The user is getting errors and it looks
like maybe she needs the active control for dates.  Is this correct?  Maybe
there is a possibility she doesn't have the same .ocx ...

I downloaded the trial version but, I have not been able to find in on my
computer, it said the download would go to my desktop, it is not there.

I have installed Access 2003 on a Vista Business laptop. I have been able to
create tables and forms. But when I try to run the report wizard or the data
access page wizard. I get a message to the affect of "Access can't perform
this function".

Whenever I compact an Access2003 database (mdb) file that I have just
closed, where that mdb includes mde references, Access2003 fails and
restarts.

Quite simple i guess. Most of those reports have a query. Most of them, query
and reports have a filter and a criteria, but the real question is : I'd like

I was running Access 2007 Beta. We moved house via small rented
accomodation, and my development PC was packed away until today. I am led to
believe that the 2207 Beta files are in a format that cannot be read by
2007. If that is correct then I have to boot up my development PC ...
