Hi, I am starting to learn Access.  I have an Office 97 Pro with Access on it
so I installed and tried to use. Program starts up but as soon as I try to
create a data base  I get "Program has encountered a problem and has to shut
down" message.  Error reporting does not get any ...

everytime i sign on windows installer appears and wants to install word 2002.
I already have word installed. have to cancel, this is time wasted.
how can i get rid of this installation attempt.

I have designed a database that I would like to market.  However, most people
who would use this database are not avid Access users and many don't have any
other use for Access to justify a $200+ purchase.  Is there a way to setup
the database to work on computers without MS ...

Am using Windows Xp Home Edition with Microsoft Office XP installed.  On my
Start Menu I have Icons for all Office programs except Access.  Could anyone
explain why I do not have "access" to Access, and offer a solution.

I have installed a new XP workstation at a client site and am trying (from
the workstation) to open an Access 2000 database on an NT4 server. The XP
workstation is running Access 2003.

I have legal copies of Access 2000 and Access 97. I used to be able to run
both of them on the same computer when I was running Win95. I'm asuming that
now since my computer is Win98 I get a message that tells me that I can't run
Access 97 since the machine doesn't have a license ...

I uninstalled my Access 2000 last year from my PC.   I kept the CD, but threw
away the CD case.    I now want to start using it again, so I re-install
Access 2000 (I did not enter the 25 character CD key).   Access 2000
installed just fine.   I can access my old databases, but ...

Sorry for double-posting this but no response from the programming group
makes me think this might be the correct place to ask.
I have developed a system using the MsComm control on my Windows/98
(Access/98) and Windows/ME (Access/2000) systems.  Both use the MsComm32.OCX.
