I'm having a bit of trouble here with the shortcut.  If I have to write the
target path, including "path to MSACCESS.EXE" I think I have a problem.  I'm
not sure how to write it.  my path to msaccess.exe is C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11

I have created a database for a friend in another community.

Okay I know there will be flack for this but here it goes.
This morning I am in the midst of converting an Access 97 Backend to an
Access 2003 Backend. Which had been scheduled for some time.

I use several databases on various work servers (some I own/manage others I
just use). Until now, we relied on folder security.
I just had to create a new db with user-level security.  If I join the
workgroup for the secure db I set up I can access the db with userid and

Hi, anyone help please, when i try to open attatchments in my email i get
the message "your current security settings do not allow this to be
displayed", i have tried the help in email the unchecking of the security
box to allow attatchments and files but this doesnt do anything, ...

To prevent users accessing the data in the Tables, I have hidden each
sensitive Table.
I thought this was very clever, but now I need to access the tables. I do
not however know how to UNHIDE the Tables.

constantly by what seems to be the trio Lsass.exe,
Avserve.exe and Avserve2.exe. they all seem to go hand in

Could be simple.  I have a secured database under workgroup Secured.mdw and
then my default which is the System.mdw.  Here's what I did.  I thought I
better make a copy of my secured database... but unsecured, in the default

I am working on a customers site putting in a new system.  They use Microsoft
Access XP on all their computers.  When I hooked up the new system and added
it to the workgroup, we got this message when trying to access the database.
Microsoft Access Cannot open this file.
