In my front end access 2003 application I need to prevent that multiple
users are opening this file at the same time. is there a way to do this?

I have a database that only 1 person will be editing data. However about 60
people will have permission to certain forms. My question is if only one
person will be editing and everyone else will just be able to view data, is
it still necessary to split?

I wasnt sure where to put this, but heres my problem.
I send my customers updates to the various .mdes in their application
through a hyperlink on a web page.  Sometime in the latest set of security
updates for IE7, they started making the mde download as an mdb through the

I'm trying to run a "make-table" querie that will create a table on
protected database but, every time I try to run the querie, I get a message
saying that the password is wrong.

Access was able to find the certificate. Viewing details showed valid dates.

I tried to create a workgroup through the user-level security wizard, but now
that I tried to open the database a message box displays "you do not have the

Hi, all,
I don't know what is causing this strange problem, but my database is giving
me user permission error.
The user Id is workgroup administrator Id and has all privileges.
