I recently created a database with ULS adminstered through a seperate
.mdw file.  Now I need to create some linked spreadsheets to that
database.
When I try to link to the database is throws an error and then asks for

I've converted about 15 Access 97 databases to Access 2003.  The databases
are split with the FE on the workstation and BE on the server.  The workgroup
file is also located on the server.  I created shortcuts with the following
/wrkgrp command

I used the wizard to secure the database on one given computer.  there are
three users.  I set it up on someone who has full permissions to the
database.  The other 2 users will only be able to add and edit DATA.    I
know to get into it only from the desktop shortcut but am LOST ...

I have a nasty problem here.
A user here tries to download a .swf-file from the internet and save it
to local harddisk.
When finished downloading, windows comes up with a security-warning:

When I click on File, then Open to access the list of databases in order to
set a password, I keep getting the My Documents window instead.  Can anyone

Is there a way to track who last modified a record?  I have a last modified
date and time, but I also want to know who performed the modification.

I have a secure database on a network drive with user access control, etc.
There is some VBA code which uses a temporary table (dbOpenTable) which is
populated with a unique set of records which the user then works with that
data, generates reports and such.

I have a persistent ldb file I need to get rid of. I am the only user, the
LDBViewer shows it's ME logged in but I have cold booted my system, resynced
folders, there's no one using the .mdb and yet the ldb file won't go away.
How can I get rid of it?

Access to the database is controlled through user groups and permissions
accessed through shortcuts...but the actual database file sits in a folder on

For security purposes I would like to create an Access database in a
directory defined as read-only for a certain class of users.  However, I need
to programmatically record their access to the database when they open the
database.
