I support an Access application that is rolled out to approximately
1000 users.  The frontend and security file are pushed to a folder on
their hard drive and the backend is maintained on a network server.  Of

I have created a custom workgroup file that I named CogGroup.mdw.
I then joined my split frontend to CogGroup.mdw and that works fine, but
when I join the backend to CogGroup.mdw then the default workgroup file for
Access 2003 also changes over to CogGroup.mdw.

I was following the step by step instructions & created a new workgroup
file, then went to Tools, Security, Users and Group Accounts.
Created a new user & then when I went to delete the admin I received an

I have a split database with security (all files on network drive) - two
'types' of user - User (with Read Access), and Administrator
(Read/Write/Delete/Create). The database is accessed via icons on desktop (7

Hi Access Heros,
I created a new database in Access 2003.  I created a new workgroup file as
owner.  As owner, I created a new database and imported tables from original
db for my backend.  Then I created another database, as workgroup owner and
