OK, I feel stupid.
I writing code to conditionally change the back color of a field on a report
detail line.  When I attempt to write something like this -
Me.txtBox.BackColor = 302, I type me. and I get a drop down of my text boxes

Has anyone written a general query and reporting mechanism in Access?
By this I mean a system where the user chooses a table or tables and the
columns of interest, specifies control breaks and the Access program itself
writes and runs the report dynamically.

Here's my question.  I am using reports for form letters and so far they have
been working great.  I am using unbound text boxes for the body of the letter
and using things such as & [Agent Name] & "is scheduled to " etc....  Where
[Agent Name] is a field in a table and ...

  I have a report where a price prints ($1.99). There are some prices
where the dollar amount is 2 digits ($19.99). I need the dollar sign to
print to the left of the fist dollar number. My problem is that I

I have a report that lists all of the records I need.  It also includes a
counter to the left of the records.  At the bottom of a report I need to

I made a data list, and some data may miss 1 or 2 sections. I code it to
change its visible in the report. The item is insivible in the report page.
However, when I sum its value. The sum function still add the insivible
value. How do I avoid this?

Hi fellas!
I have a report with no datasources (because of some subreports that are in

In Access 2003 is there a preferred image format for reports. I inserted a
.gif logo that has a size of 51KB and my database blew up by 3MB's! I have
tried different graphic formats with similar or worse results.

My database creates snapshot files and saves them to a folder.  For some
reason I'm now unable to view the .snp files.  I've done a repair and then a
reinstall of Office XP and still the files wont open.  Immediately after the
