If you have a text box in a report, can you use an "if" statement in "do while" loop to look at the record source for a certain character and if the character is found change the format for only that character to BOLD?

I just built a report and it access only 44 records. However, it opens and displays 3,225. This is very strange. I cycled through the first 44 records and then to my surprise the report came back to the first record again. The report is cycling through all 44 records.
