| Replication/Sychronization of Disconnected laptops | 30 Jun 2005 02:04 GMT | 19 |
Access 2000. I have read a little about replication and synch. Iv'e created a master on my stationary computor in the office and a replica on a laptop which I use in the field. The laptop will always be disconnected, no networking etc. My hope is to somehow synchronize the ...

| Synchronisation nightmare - corruption | 28 Jun 2005 23:14 GMT | 14 |
I have a client running Access 2000 on a desktop (win 98) acting as the 'server' and a Sony Viaio notebook (win 2000). They are synchronising and the data on the laptop is continually getting corrupted. The symptoms

| fixing DM | 28 Jun 2005 23:11 GMT | 1 |
How to get out of where I am. :-) Been working on database that I initially set up as replicable. That made all the tables, queries, forms and reports as replicable objects. Now I learn that I should have used a different approach, splitting the db before

| sync problems | 28 Jun 2005 23:07 GMT | 4 |
I removed some tables from the DM (replicated tables) and after syncing with a replica which had the deleted tables, they reappeared in the DM. Is that how it's suppose to work?

| not syncing | 28 Jun 2005 23:05 GMT | 3 |
Have the DM on one computer (win 2k and access 2k) and a replica on a laptop (win2k and access xp). Made changes/additions to records of some tables on the laptop. Used the DM to sync. None of the table changes came over!

| Synchronize using VB.NET | 25 Jun 2005 22:01 GMT | 7 |
I have created a database which currently is split into a Backend and Frontend which uses replication so I will have the ability to synchronize the information from the network to laptops that are using the database. I want to take the front end and rebuild it using VB.NET; ...

| missing replicas | 22 Jun 2005 02:00 GMT | 5 |
OK, I deleted a replica (a test replica) I no longer needed. Supposedly, when trying to sync to an non-existent replica, access is suppose to remove it from the list. Well, that's not what happens to me. It stays, even after closing and restarting.

I'm trying to sync from the design master to a replica on my computer and am getting an error about "unable to apply design changes to one or more replicas" What does that really mean, and how to fix/avoid?

| block access to form's vba | 20 Jun 2005 23:56 GMT | 6 |
I'm posting here in case this is something related to replication (as I'm working with a replicated db). I hit a few keys by mistake (have cast on arm and makes for interesting typing), and hit esc a few times to get back to typing, and suddenly I can't

| question | 19 Jun 2005 20:53 GMT | 12 |
question: I'm using the access toolbar (tools, replication, etc.) to manually sync. How do I create a button on a form to do this? And, how do I have it try to sync with all 8 databases even if all 8 are not available at the time? I expect only one at a time to be available ...

| Replication Manager for Access 2003 | 10 Jun 2005 17:03 GMT | 5 |
We currently have an Access 2000 database that is replicated. We use the Replication Manager to synchronize the data (we use indirect replication). Now if we want to upgrade to Access 2003, what do we use to synchronize the data with? (we still want to use indirect

Using A2K. Last year, a design master (data only) for a customer was developed and placed it in their folder on the network which I do not have rights to. I found a replica on my C drive that I would like to convert to a design

| TSI Compactor on Replica Farm | 05 Jun 2005 07:20 GMT | 4 |
This seems pretty straight forward, but I can't get it to work. I'm mostly interested in the progress meter while the replicas are being compacted. I'm running Access 97 with Jet SP3. I have the following
