Database Splitting Questions31 Aug 2003 23:21 GMT1
Hey all. Not sure if this is the right NG.
I've got a database I originally created in Access 97.
However, the demand for it has grown and it now needs to
be shared with some people who have Access 2000. I was

Replica Farms ... a few thoughts and questions28 Aug 2003 15:50 GMT3
I set up a test replica farm today based on what I read on Michael
Kaplan's Trigeminal site (www.trigeminal.com).
I created three replica's for the farm and have them all managed by
the same sychronizer.  They are set up to replicate every 15 minutes
Laptop - Desktop Link28 Aug 2003 05:35 GMT1
I'm in the process of putting together what will be a fairly hefty,
substantial database and before I go much further I wanted to check that
what I'm planning is possible.
My client is planning on using the db in two ways; firstly it will be used
Replicating Backend (i.e. table) Design Changes28 Aug 2003 05:19 GMT1
Forgot one item ..  which is really a different topic anyway.  That is
... is it ok to propagate table changes through replication.  Or,
perhaps a better question, should you avoid table design changes at
all costs once a database is replicated?  The reason I ask is that I
Replication Manager errors26 Aug 2003 22:42 GMT1
I have a few questions about errors that repmanager is
giving me. An error such as "There are one or more pending
exchanges to the same destination replica".  It would be
fine if it gave the error and then stopped, but what
trying to create a database26 Aug 2003 20:21 GMT1
I'm not sure if I'm in the right newsgroup... probably not... but I'm
trying to create a new .MDB file using the .NET framework.  That is... I'm
trying to create the database from scratch and set the whole database up
from code.  I could figure out how to set up all the tables ...
Using a web server as a drop box folder22 Aug 2003 07:22 GMT1
Hi, we have an Access 2002 db application. It runs in two offices to be
synchronized. One of them had installed a DSL connection and the other a
dial-up connection to Internet. The DSL connected side is not working as a
web server and has a dynamic IP so I cannot connected directly ...
Regular Corruption - Causes?22 Aug 2003 00:31 GMT2
I have an application/group of users that are set up with the main copy
(design master) on a server, with a number of partial replicas that reside
on laptops. The laptops are synched via LAN when the users are in the
office.
Convert 97 to 200221 Aug 2003 08:57 GMT1
I'm relatively new to replication and I'm one of those
people who do not fully understand the technology behind
replication.  I understand the theory somewhat, but JET
means virtually nothing to me.
Default folder20 Aug 2003 15:18 GMT3
Is there a way to set the default folder upon opening replication manager?

Please MICHKA - Indirect synchronisation - I need additional information20 Aug 2003 12:55 GMT1
Hallo michka,
I think you are the specialist of replication and only you can help me.

and informative!, also I read in the Microsoft KB)
Size factors related to database replication19 Aug 2003 17:11 GMT4
Are there any size concerns when replicating a database?
For example:  If I have 50 updates to sync between five
databases and each database is 3GB, would the speed be any
different if the five databases were only 50KB each?
Conflict Screen doesn't display19 Aug 2003 13:08 GMT1
I have this problem on a couple PCs (both PCs running
synchronizor). It seems when I try to view conflicts, I
initially get the conflicts screenb but when I select a

A2K, Indirect synchronisation - Not working with Modem Connection17 Aug 2003 22:22 GMT1
Hiiih,
As described in MS Access Replication FAQ ("What is indirect synchronization
and how do I make it work")  I tried to use Indirect Synchronisation.
