As the FE is distributed to the end users within the network, is it possible
to protect the code of the FE in some way? Basically, I don't want the users

sql for the backend and I don't know what the filepath will be for the be so

Using the Auto FE Updater, all folders located on share drive on the server.
Running Windows XP pro.

I have windows updates set to update automatically.  When I came in today
there were a ton of new updates installed.  Since the update I have not been
able to open my BE Database.  The FE opens fine, but the BE doesnt open at

My clients are used to sharing a db built in version 2000.  I built them a
new one built in 2003, 2000 format.  The user on the PC where the db resides
opens it OK.  The second user can open it once.  Subsequent tries elicit a
" not having permissions or the database is opened ...

  I'm getting an error telling me that "You can't assign a value to
this object" whenever I try to assign values to a checkbox. My Code is
below. Any ideas? I have the values assigned as true and false in this
code, but I have tried with 0 and 1 and have received the same error.

will be stand-alone in the field.
Also each of the BE files and the OBDC master will have a one record
