We have a form whose record locks is set to edited record.
If another user tries to open a record while another user has it locked I
want to detect that and prevent the record being opened by the second user.

Have an application with front-end in one mdb file linked to another data mdb

We have our data mdb on a server with users with their own FE MDE on
their local PCs.
An issue we have is that we cannot make a change to a data.mdb table

I'm finding record access unexpectedly locked in my VB 6 / ADO 2.9 /Jet
