We have a form whose record locks is set to edited record. If another user tries to open a record while another user has it locked I want to detect that and prevent the record being opened by the second user.

I have a small dbase shared between 10 users. We receive a daily flat file that needs to be appended to the main table. The problem is, this file comes in the middle of the day....updating with the users logged out takes less than a minute, if they're logged on, forever.
