I have read elsewhere on this forum that Access 2000 ( or later ) now requires that each user have their OWN copy of the database ( macros,forms,queries,etc) for Access to function properly in a multi-user environment. IS THIS TRUE ????????

I can't pack and repair my database. There are no logins to get onto our database so that is not the problem. I don't get any messages other than that an error has occured and access needs to close down. After closing, the database opens again and tries to compact again

I have my access 2000 database in "share" mode so many users can use it at once. However, even though it's set for sharing, it still won't allow more than one user at a time.
