creating an MDE file when the MDB file references another database31 Oct 2004 22:07 GMT2
In Access 2002 Help, under the topic "Improve perfromance of an Access
database," there is a section on MDE files, in which it says:
"To save a database that references another database as an MDE file, you
must save all databases in the chain of references as MDE files."

Lock problem?31 Oct 2004 02:49 GMT3
We have 5 networked pc's  using Access 2002, under Win98SE. The application
has a BE held on 1 pc with FE's on all 5 pc's. All forms in the FE are set
to shared and a lock on edited record.

Access corruption and Terminal Server29 Oct 2004 22:06 GMT1
I have an Access application with seperate front and back ends. All users
have their own front end. I am getting corruption in the back end.
Could this be caused by Citrix/TS forcing a logoff due to idle timeout? If
so then this could theoretically be replicated by logging off any ...
Problems with switching between forms29 Oct 2004 16:13 GMT3
We have started to maintain an Access/2000 database app which is running
on a server. It is split into FE/BE but, unfortunately, the split is
silly and there are tables in the front end which are required by
eveyone so we can't run the FE on individual machines yet.

I have an access database on a network drive.  I use VPN to connect to my company from home.  I use Remote Desktop Web Connection to connect to the database.  I can't view reports or create and save them because there is no printer installed.  Is there a work around for this?  ...
Modifications made with access 97 not readable on 200028 Oct 2004 17:23 GMT2
I have quite a weird problem.  I'm using two computers in a small network,
one using access 97, one using access 2000.  Since I want both to use the
database, I created it with access 97.  So far everything worked fine.
Recently while I was doing modifications to the forms, my ...

Error opening db in service27 Oct 2004 23:14 GMT2
My app is in vb.net but the backend db is access. I am posting my question
here as there is more access expertise here than in vb.net group.
Here is the problem; I am opening a connection on a shared access db as
below.
Shared be27 Oct 2004 04:13 GMT1
This is split dbs with a shared be database - optimistic locking.  When
testing to see if an appointment can be entered at the same date and time,
one of two entrys gets into the database ok, but no message appears, so appt
that did not make it just gets lost.  How do we get some ...
Terminal Services26 Oct 2004 23:58 GMT1
I have been reading up on Terminal Services; however, I am still somewhat
confused as to where the indivdual FEs reside under this configuration.  I
understand the BE resides on the server.  Can someone explain where the FEs
are placed when using Terminal Services?  Thank you.
Restrict Terminal Services by IP?26 Oct 2004 18:54 GMT1
On a server using RRAS as a basic firewall, is there a mechanism (either
within RRAS or IPSec) to restrict port 3389 connections to only specific IP
addresses?
