How can I create 3 levels of permission for 3 people in my
office to the MS Access 02 database.
The owner needs to maintain a private table too.
The admin is the next.

Since using XP our app (Over network - database on server, FE on clent)
The BE gets corrupt with loss of relationships & a wierd record in one of
the tables.
I use a rebuild (Data moved to balank DB) is only way to fix.

I have a split database running under MS Windows 2000
5.00.2195 on a network server.  It is very, very slow and

i am having trouble with my secured database.  i have
read only users, admins, and full data users.  i would
like to have the full data users and admins to be able to
edit records while read onlys are in the file.  Right

Users will use both AXP and A2k3:
We use one workgroup file on a mapped drive for our local .mde files.
We use a command switch in a desktop shortcut to point to the

Does anyone know of any problems with multiusers in a mixed Win 2000 Win XP
environment using Access 2000 FE/BE with BE stored on a Windows 2000 Server.

I have a Access 2000 multi-user database with one backend and multiple
frontends.  One user sporadically receives this message:  "The database has
been placed in a state by user 'Admin' on machine 'XXXXX' that prevents it
from being opened or locked."

  Does Access support concurrency control?  I mean Does it makes sure the
data keep serializable when multiple user is updating the database?  Or Does
