There is possibly a simple solution to my query but I
can't for the life of me work it out.
I have a contact database that has all company info (as
usual) but it also has a linked table for "branches" under

is there a macro or some way that i can insert a new field
into a table without me  going to design view and typing
in the name and data type?

I'm in big trouble. The guy who works with me just quit and left me with the
Access database. I have no idea how he set it up and my boss want me to go
in and make some changes (I'm a VB programmer, but not Access). All I know
is there are 2 files: system.mdw and Calc.mde. Check on ...
