Hi I trying to set up a command button to create a new record while
populating three of the fileds from one of my tables.  I do have them link in
a query.  I am new at this but nothing right now seems to be working.

I have parameter values set to make things easier for the users...
The prompt pulls Last Name or Emp #.  If the Emp# is not available, is
there a way to search by last name, including suffixes, but only
entering the last name?  or even just the first letter of the last

I am trying to set up a database management system for our small community
library. This would need to have details of titles we currently have, as well
as profiles of library patrons, and enable a check out/return option. Can any

So I'm reading the MS Access Security FAQ, trying to secure my DB.  It says I
need to use the Workgroup Administrator program (Wrkgadm.exe).  So I try to
run it, but I can't find it.  Can't even find it in a file search.  
What's the deal?  I imagine I can't finish the security ...

How do I set up a formula within a query?  I have total quantity and gross
weight per item.  I would like the query to multiply the gross weight by the
