Is there any way to make Access only save at the user's command?15 Aug 2006 15:21 GMT11
We use a very simple Access spreadsheet for our database - no forms. We don't
use any VBA (and I don't know how any of it works), so I'm basically using
Access as a labelled and linked version of Excel spreadsheets. As such,
everyone who works with this database isn't used to ...

Publisher/Word/Access15 Aug 2006 09:55 GMT1
I'm such a neophyte!  I've looked through the Access Discussion groups, but
can't find a situation quite like ours.
We print all our letterhead from a Publisher file.  When we book a tour, the
name, address, date and time of scheduled tour, etc., is entered into Access.
Closing and Restarting my Access Application15 Aug 2006 05:37 GMT1
Is there a way I can use a command button to close my application and restart
it without using a menu bar?

The Autonumber is missing when I update the forms15 Aug 2006 05:36 GMT1
My order number 38 showing on the database is autonumber. When I input some
data onto two forms for this order and saved them, there was a warning saying
some data will be lost. I thought I could update it again. However the form
with this order number 38 was disappeared. Now ...

table but when i use the option box in my form the information that is
Pulling Back Data14 Aug 2006 19:25 GMT1
This is probably really obvious, but not to me.
I have been sent a text file that has two columns. I created a table using
this information. One column has a company number and the second has a
product number. The problem is that there can be several products for one

I am fairly new to Access and am working on a project for work. I know how to
get around in access but when I try to build the database I get all confused.
I have about 80 - 100 employees I would like to track labor hours for.
Currently I have a excel Spred sheet that gets filled ...
Not In List Event14 Aug 2006 17:26 GMT9
Greetings from the backpackers hostel in Panama.
I have gotten for the most part my forms and tables OK, and now I am just
suffering with unnecessary repetition of data entry which will be the subject
of further posts, I am sure.
Where to locate front end / backup question14 Aug 2006 16:59 GMT2
I've been reading various posts regarding front ends and back ends.  I've
created various (very simple!) single-user databases in the past so this has
never been an issue. However, I'm now creating one for a team of 3 people who
may all need to access it at the same time.  I ...

Primary Key Textbox Linking to Subforms14 Aug 2006 15:32 GMT2
I have an issue that I can't quite figure out.  I have built a database that
will be used to store equipment information.  The main form/table contains
general information about the equipment.  I have set the primary key as a
specifically assigned "Equipment Number".  I have a ...
Number of Registered Copies Needed?14 Aug 2006 06:34 GMT3
I am setting up a database that will be eventually used on a LAN, for now
it's used on a single PC that has a registered copy of Access.  Do I need to
buy a copy of Access for each pc in order to make it work, or do I need to
register multiple users.  If someone could clarify ...
