I have already created my database and I want to add a new field name.  I
created the field name in Design View and have clicked the data typed and
save, but when I go back into the database to type in the information, the
field is not there.  Why?

I've created a form with a drop down menu combo box.  When the user
uses the drop down menu and selects a record (in this case serial#) I
want a query to pop up displaying all the selected records and the rest
of the fields in the table.

I found this table in my database. It contains an error message. "Could not
find field 'Description'" and error number -1611. I don't recall any problems
with compacts. Is this something I should worry about?
