I import order details from our order system into an Access database table,
this is quite simply an extract from Crystal saved to Excel format and
imported into the relevent table.

I have a large database that has grown to about 900 MB. I use compact and
repair every week after importing about 60,000 new records to a table. Last
week, compact and repair started hanging at about the 50% mark. It won't
finish the job. The database is working normally otherwise. ...

I have created a database with several tables. Some of the records, though
entered correctly, are mixed up partially. Only few of the fields in some of
the records. What is going on?

This is my first conversion.  When I convert the database, it cannot find the
following files DSGBASE.MDA and UTIL_97.MDB.
On my NT desktop, these files exist until Office 97. Are there equivalents
under Office 2003.

When i start Access 2003 I get an error message:
A problem occured while Microsoft Access was communicating with the OLE
server or Active X control.
Close the OLE server outside of Microsoft Access. Then try the original

When trying to save docs on a CD-R disk get error mentioned above.  When
using a DVD+R disk get   "incorrect function".  Disk drive work find for
installation disk and others.  Any suggestion?

I record UPS tracking numbers from our UPS computer in an Access Database.

When I try and open Access 97 in XP I get the
message 'can't find the database you specified, or you
didn't specify a database at all' even though I am trying
to start Access.
