Is there any way to make Access grab info from an Excel file and associate that info with an entered value in Access? I'm trying to establish a check-in/check-out system with a barcode scanner andcan't seem to find out how to do this.

I'm new working with excel. When i open up the program I have the 3 worksheets, everyhting looks normal, except I can not enter any data at all. Most of the options on the file menu are in grey. I don't know what else to try please help me with my problem. Thanks

We need a database that will contain product numbers combines with serial numbers but... we handle parts for diverse companies and a lot of the product numbers are common numbers and it also happens that serial numbers are equal.
