How do I prevent users from opening the database
exclusively and locking out other users? These particular
users do not have permissions to open the database
exclusively, I am clueless as to how they are able to do

I have a simple query and when I enter [Enter Date YYMM:] it gives me error
"MS Jet DB engine does not recognize [EnterDate YYMM:] as a valid field name
or  expression. Can anyone give a suggestions as to why?
