I have a problem with Access... I'd like to add to a database list that contains details on used cars a picture showing the car... I create a field OLE Object and I added the object as image, but the maximum I can get in a report is an icon with the name of the file.

I made a bibliographic database and add to it from my laptop in the library. When I try to import the data it just adds another database but won't add the records to the master DB. Any help would be appreciated

Has anybody encountered a virus that attacks .mdb files making them un-openable? Virus scans haven't showed anything, but the files show that they are already open, but not by me!

In another thread I asked about why my Access application finds a file missing (MSADO26.tlb) on a Windows 2000 system. I have just found out that that PC doesn't have Office installed. Might that be the problem? Might msado26.tlb come with Office?

I had to do an Access 97 Database that joined 6 other tables to a maindata table so I could filter out cases that appeared in the 6 sub tables. Having done this the rows reduced from 36,000 to around 7,000. However the overall file size has remained at 13 mgb.Why?
