Has anybody encountered a virus that attacks .mdb files
making them un-openable?  Virus scans haven't showed
anything, but the files show that they are already open,

Is MS Office required for Access13 Apr 2005 18:12 GMT5
In another thread I asked about why my Access application finds a file
missing (MSADO26.tlb) on a Windows 2000 system.  I have just found out that
that PC doesn't have Office installed.  Might that be the problem?  Might
msado26.tlb come with Office?

done this the rows reduced from 36,000 to around 7,000. However the overall
file size has remained at 13 mgb. Why?

Many years ago I used a product called DataEase (Sapphire Systems then) to
write a Dos based system and found it intuitive and easy, but I do not like
their Windows based system because, to me at least, it's too graphical and
nowhere near so intuitive or versatile. For example ...

Hello!  Previously during normal installation over 50 addins were installed
