This may seem a stupid question. I just need to sum the values of a single field in each record, but I can't find a way to do this in a query. The "sum" function seems to operate on a single record, rather than a single field in each record.

Have set up a table to import survey data. Need to edit field type. When I do I get this message on save. "Too many fields defined" Does not save changes. How can I resolve this. Table cannot be split.

I compacted the back-end of a split database in which the front-end is an MDE and the back-end an MDB. After this (no other changes) am getting 'Reserved Error' (-1715) all over the place. Restored back end and it went away. Any clues?
