having difficulty merging information in querries
together.  Problem  may be caused because they are summary
querries.  Do I have to make each of these querries a
table before i can merge the data together????

table you can use "pack" to delete the record completely.

I have developed my application in Access 2003, in Access 2000 format.  The
code works fine on my machine (office 2003, win 2000 pro)
The application hangs when trying to output an email from access with an
'out of memory error' when executed on (some/all???) machines running

This may seem a stupid question. I just need to sum the values of a single
field in each record, but I can't find a way to do this in a query. The
"sum" function seems to operate on a single record, rather than a single
field in each record.

Despite deleting almost all the forms and tables for my .mdb file even after compacting it seems to have reduced very little in size. In fact over the years this application just keeps growing in size even though large objects are being removed.
What is even more confusing is when ...

Have set up a table to import survey data.  Need to edit field type.  When I do I get this message on save.  "Too many fields defined"  Does not save changes.  How can I resolve this.  Table cannot be split.

Does anyone know how I can delete all records from a table using code, while not harming the table format?

I compacted the back-end of a split database in which the front-end is an MDE and the back-end an MDB. After this (no other changes) am getting 'Reserved Error' (-1715) all over the place. Restored back end and it went away.
Any clues?

Hi all, I am not that conversant with Access and have just installed 2003, I
keep getting a couple of error message, as follows
Object Library Note Registered & Active X cannot creat a component.  Havent
a clue what this means, have looked up the  Knowledge base, but cant find

I need to increase the page size from 22 inches UPWARD to
allow more than the standard 4 page (8.5" X 11") reports.
The text in 'Design View' must extend beyond 22 inches
(MAX ACCESS DEFAULT)

I'm trying to get my access stuff organized.  Here are some scripts I have

 I am new to Access and have been learning a lot, but I

Can anyone possibly tell me why this would not work:
ALTER TABLE PARENTS ORDER BY PARENT;
With of course PARENTS being table and PARENT being field.
Am I seeing something wrong.
