When converting MDE17 Mar 2008 12:30 GMT1
Assuming most people aready have Office 2000, so I want to create an MDE . I
understand we should use Access 2000 to make MDE.
Since I do have Access 2002 or Office XP, how can I make MDE ver.2000
The other question, suppose I have Access 2000 and I successfully made MDE

What does it mean when you open a form that collects data and it has a pencil
icon on the upper left hand corner when you enter data? How do you enable
that pencil icon on the form?  Thank you in advance for any help with this.

We have recently upgraded the MS Access 97 to MS Access 2003 in our PCs.
When the PC were on Windows 2000 it was possible for several users to use the
same data base (created in Access 97) at the same time.
As we updated to Windows XP Pro, we were not able to do the same anymore

I currently hyperlink PDF files to records within a database.  When actioning
a hyperlink, a "Link to file" box appears,  the bottom  "Files of Type"
dialog shows "Office Files".  I have to change this everytime to "All Files"
so that files can be associated with the PDF.

Hi and thanks for the help. I am using Access 2007. I have a form with a
"Vendor" field and a "TaxCategory" field. When I type in a vendor the
taxcategory is always the same. Examples:  Vendor=Staples, TaxCat=Supplies;
Vendor=Applebees, TaxCat=Client Dining; Vendor=American ...

Some how with out me knowing I have made all controls on my form invisible
when I view the form. In design view they are visible so I know I didn't
delete them all. Is there a property besides form visibility or detail
visibility that controls this? How Do I make them come back.

Hi - being a bit dim here I just made a simple form set it high and width to
fairly small set min max buttons to both, border to thin, control box to yes
but on running it fills the screen and no min max buttons.
What am I missing.

As I recall, I used to be able to give my buttons a special effect that made
them look raised -- there was shading.  I don't seem to be able to do that
with buttons any more.  Am I just crazy?  Was that only in VB world?

I have a subform that I've just spotted doing odd things. When a record
doesn't exist for the subform to show, none of the text boxes and labels etc
appear. The subform shows OK, including the record selector at the bottom but
the subform is just a blank. When a record does exist ...

Hi.  I have a form generated from one table and a subform within it that
shows data from a different table.  I need to generate a query or a filter
that will only show fields that fall within two dates on my subform.  How do
I do this?

Ok so I know there will be a simple answer to this but my brain can't get
there on Friday. I created a form that needs to run on to 2 pages. How do I
get a header and footer to show up on 2 pages. Right now my form prints on 2
pages and I'm not getting the header/footer
