I am trying to automate importing data from Excel. When I import an Excel sheet I do not see the option of saving the import spec. The columns do not have headings in Excel. Am I missing something?

I have several hundred .csv files that Iam trying to combine in one file. I can simply use the dos copy command to create a new file with the contents of all these other files, but the problem with that is i cannot identify which file is which in the new file.

When I Import text files in to Access 2002 everything is fine until I try and change the field properties. It won't let me change anything but Field 1. If I go into Advanced I can do it ~ why doesn't it work in the primary screen ?
