To merge (copy/paste) cells from two Access tables, all cells are Y or N. I exported the two Access tables to Excel. Table #1 is in text format Table #2 is in number format

I've just converted my Access97 fromt end database to Access 2003. I'm linking the same tables as before but now it takes about 10 times as long to link whenever I open the database. I link to client databases using drop/transfer database-link.
