Due to 8 year old XP burning out a fan and mother board, I was forced
to move to Vista.

Dell 530 Desktop

After numerous blue screens and other hassles, I got Office XP
installed and HP1012 Printer installed.

1012 works fine as default for Office except for Access. If you try
and Print or Print Preview and it may or may not work. Mostly not
work. Doesn't matter if  TOP BAR or DROP MENU OR "FILE" .

However. If I change default to HP7350 Photosmart using the HP5550
driver. Access works fine.

I am presently using 7350 as default. Till I need to print some db.
Then I have to save it and go out and change the default back to 1012
and try and use it. Laserjet cheaper than print cartriage.

Any ideas

First thing to try:  go to the HP site, then download and install the most
recent driver for your printer.  If that doesn't work better, use HP's site
to file an incident.
