How to get the information about the software installed on a system?

Want to know how do we get the information about the software installed
and hardware attached on a system using windows APIs.
To be specific i need the exact function to get the above information.
Plz reply as soon as possible.

oh right away... GET REAL.  This is a FREE newsgroup.  You're lucky you
get an answer at all.

have a look at www.mvps.org/vbnet and dig around there.  I might be
more helpful if you didn't sound like "give me an answer RIGHT NOW.
Um... please."

Or... spend some cash, hire a developer and at least he's getting money
to put up with your attitude.
