Hi,

I have an Access 2003 application which I have to enhance. The former
programmer isn't available any more. Does anybody know a good tool which
documents Access 2003 applications?

There is a built-in documenter under:
   Tools | Analyze | Documenter

There is a better documenter here:

If it is the table structure and relations you want to document, there is a
new utility here that enhances the relationships report by adding field

Hi Allen,

I am not sure you noticed my remarks concerning 'scrollbar-tables' in the view?

Hi Arno

I did see your message but was not able to identify where the problem lies.

This screenshot of Northdwind has scrollbars in all sorts of states, but
AFAICT, the report matches the screen view:

If you can help me identify where it is wrong, that would help.

Hi Allen,

As I wrote:
The problem shows up when there is a relation to the second or third field (in the fieldorder that is) AND we do *not see* the *first* field in this 'scrollbar-table' (e.g. we scrolled down the list).

Example Nortwind:
If you would scroll the table Products in a way so that you don't see the field ProductID in the relationshipsview, but you see the field ProductName as your first field, then the problem will occur.
-- You will see that the relation from the Suppliers table links to the field ProductName
-- You will see that the link from the Categories table 'connects' to the field SupplierID.

So you have to make sure that you 'see' the first field in the relationships window...

Thanks for your comments, but I still can't repro this.

Tried with the Products table in A2000 and 2003, but did not see the issue.

Sorry for getting back so late, I have been away this afternoon ...
Check out:
http://home.tiscali.nl/arracom/relations.html
Hope you see the problem now. Look at the relations between 'Leveranciers' and 'Producten'

Strange, could this be a localisation problem?
Maybe others can try to test this also?

'Scrolled' some more tables:

Could you zip and mail your version of the Nortwind.mdb please?
I will check if I can do the same with that mdb (change the relationship-window) and mail it back to you

I've written code that creates tables of queries/tables in an Access
database, with enumerated data types, as well as outputs all modules
into a folder of text files.  With some table creation, as well as code
modification to point it at a directory, you can keep a running
record/backup of changes:
