Hi group,

PCDataSheet (for some reason he only knows) is constantly accusing me of sending emails to his office
In a recent thread to Larry Linson:
> And tell us, Larry, how do you feel about Arno R sending unwanted email to my office?

If I would do or have done so, I would judge this myself as 'very low class' indeed.

Trying now to make things clear:
I *did* send ONE email to Steve's office indeed ...
Several times I 'confessed' this here in the groups.
I challenged Steve to show ANY OTHER email than this. There is NONE.

>> Confession: <<

Look at the thread: "Checkboxes and Option Groups"
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.databases.ms-access/msg/bce809737152b925

In that thread I said to Steve:
"If you are interested contact me and I will send you a screenshot."

Steve replied:
==>> "I am interested. I would appreciate whatever you can send me".
        ************************************************

So I did send a screenshot to Steve's office ...
"Steve,
As promised a screenshot,
<Screenshot>
If you stop your advertising you can have the code for free."

And I also replied to Steve here in the groups with the same message:
"I just did send the screenshot to you.
As I said in the mail: If you stop your advertising you can have the code for free !"

He did *not* answer this. So my conclusion was (here in cdma):
>Since I don't hear from you again, I guess your are not interested in free
>code or free support?

So I never have been sending email*s*. I see only ONE mail to resource@pcdatasheet in my Outbox.
As I recall I was even hesitating sending Steve the screenshot because I choked on the address ("resource..." sic!!)
If people are interested? I am thinking of showing this email on the website...

That's an interesting post about e-mailing Arno. I'm pretty sure I can
send you some simple code that would let you send millions of messages an
hour to Steve. Just think, then he can say, "In the last four hours, I
had 5675387 requests for help from the newsgroup!" ...truthfully even.
Of course, we'll have to bounce the messages through some unprotected
SMTP server and disguise our helo so's nobody will suspect us, (they
would probably never guess anyway!) but all things are possible!

Um, tried to find an open relay recently?

I'm told that even sending directly to the recipient's mailserver (ie.
"direct to MX"), from the wrong type of account, often does not work
these days :-(

I know some that still work, but I think I should not publish their
names.

Yep. Better save 'em until somebody offers you beaucoup bucks to do some
heavy-duty spamming, Lyle. "A open relay is a terrible thing to waste."
particularly on Steve. :-)

Is it just me that now has an image of a woman in a comfy chair being poked
by a cardinal using soft cushions with all the stuffing at one end? ;-p

I couldn't say if it is "just you," but it it true that the image never
occurred to me.
