I also am not seeing it on my news server, though I used to, all the
time. A discussion of daily posted FAQs on anothern forum prompted me
to have a quick look at Google which seems to indicate it is being
posted still?
If so, then the ppoints made on the discussion I mention above were that
some news servers tend to look at and treat such daily posting as spam
and filters them from their server.
Is Larry still posting it regularly?

Which? The newsgroup or the FAQ? A quick look shows that my newsgroup server
doesn't have the FAQ either recently.

Which is why the date gets placed in the subject.
