It would be great if there was some way of recording all the queries you've
ever sent to the Office Discussion Groups.

There is. Use a Newsreader such as Outlook Express, Agent, or one of the many
others to connect to the msnews.microsoft.com news server; download and save
the messages that you want.

You may be making the reasonable assumption that the Microsoft webpage "is"
the forum. It isn't. It's just one frontend to the forum, and not a
particularly good one at that (for instance, the website has no archive
feature).

You could try something like
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.access/about
and search your name
change access to word, frontpage ect to get other results.
