I tried looking for help on this up in the "search for" box, but it did not
return any results, so sorry for the intrusion.

I am unable to update tables using linked .txt files because of the
following error and here's the error description...

Updating data in a linked table is not supported by this ISAM. (Error 3616)

I know several work-arounds, but would like to find out if there are any
quick solutions to make updating with linked .txt files possible.

That's correct. You cannot update linked text files (nor linked Excel
files).

If you know of a work-around, you'll have to use it.
