microsoft-sponsored newsgroups are only about Microsoft software issues.
You might find an appropriate newsgroup in USENET.  If you obtained your
copy of Broderbund software legally, you should contact their technical
support and they may be able to assist you with a fix; if you did not obtain
it legally, then "for shame".
