Hi,

We have several Access databases stored on a server on our network.  One
database in particular won't open up when I double click on the desktop icon
but when I open up MS Access and choose file and open it works.  The desktop
shortcut is for sure pointing to the right direction and it appears my
computer was the only one have a problem opening up this database.  Nothing
new has been installed on this pc in quite a while.  Our old computer guy
used to have to fix this every couple of months but he is gone and there is
no record of what he used to do.  Does anyone have any idea's?  The OS is XP
Pro and the version of office is 2000 Professional SP1.

Office 2000 had 3 Service Packs and at least 1 hotfix. In addition there are
several Jet service packs. If you can still get them, I suggest that you do
so.
