Currently when I send many emails there is a significant delay between each
email as I wait for the mesaage to actually be sent

Is there any way to send it quicker?

Not at all.  It's an option but it certainly isn't the best option.

Are you sending your emails via Microsoft Exchange or your ISP?  If
it's your ISP they made be doing some black list checking against your
IP address to ensure your system is not that of a known spammer.
This is the same logic used when other mail servers send emails to
your ISPs email server.

That's what I see on my mail server anyhow.
