Calendar Issue Open with today's date

In access 2002, I add the access calendar to my switchboard and I like it to
display the date when it is opened, now it opens with the date it that it was
created only. I have try using the code below it doesn't work for some
reason.

go to switchboard - properties - event - on open event

click on ...

type in

me.calendarnamehere.value = date

calendnamehere is name of your calendar

Put this on the form's OnLoad event

Me.CalendarName.Value = Date
