I cannot now use the paste function from information in one cell to another,
or paste in the search function dialog base,  when copying from 1 table to
another, and from one database to another with my mouse, or menu bar. It
doesnt work in Excel, either - only the keyboard control V. Why? What is the
purpose of this?

Thank you, chris

Not sure what you mean ... I can use the right-click menus in 2003 (running on Windows XP Pro, full Service Packs) to
copy/paste between table "cells", or between my Access app and an Excel spreadsheet.

Can you be more explicit about what you're trying to do? Thanks

try to do it (copy a name, number, etc from a field/cell in an access table)
and then try to paste it in the find dialog box in an excell spreadsheet
column. And then try to paste cell or field info into another table with you
mouse, or even the menu bar between two tables in 2 differnt databases in
access - it wont, at least on my machine
