Changing ditigal format on pictures

i downloaded the images from the memory card,now I try to export them to
windows movie maker and the drop down  says change format how do I do this?
the images are TIF files.

Oh by the way movie maker "can" accept
asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv
(copied from the help file).  So you must be doing something else wrong.  It
is not normal on a card to store tif files are you sure they are not raw or
tiff (double "f")

Thank you Wayne for you help.it did the job. i now have them in jpeg
when I ask the question, I forgot to say that I had scaned the photos to the
computer.Would that have put it in a tif file.
